How do you know if your asthma is controlled?

To monitor how well your asthma is controlled you can use the Asthma Control Test (ACT). This test involves a scoring system based on a simple 5-item questionnaire.

To keep your asthma under control, ask your doctor for a Written Asthma Action Plan (WAAP). This Action Plan will help you to recognise if your symptoms have worsened and what steps you need to take.
