During an asthma attack, it is important that you:
- Stay calm and reassure your child.
- Give the medication prescribed for relieving the symptoms. Do not use a larger dose than prescribed unless advised by the doctor.
- Find out what triggered the attack and remove the trigger(s) or your child from the area.
- Seek emergency medical help if the symptoms do not subside or worsen after 10 minutes.
