RESPECT, Rallying Employers to Support the Prevention, Education and Control of STI/HIV/AIDS, is the new workplace HIV/AIDS education programme that HPB is introducing to workplaces.
RESPECT is all about:
- Respecting the seriousness of HIV/AIDS infection
- Respecting oneself and knowing that one has the right to say “no” to unprotected casual sex
- Respecting one’s sexual partner and not jeopardising his/her health and well-being
- Respecting employees’ right to correct information and education on HIV/AIDS
There are 3 components to the package. The outline of the package is:
An interactive talk on STI, HIV and AIDS. (1 hour session, suitable for all staff.)
A train-the-trainers programme to impart knowledge and skills to a small group of staff. These staff will in turn take their colleague through a fun, interactive and open discussion on HIV/AIDS.
(1.5 hour session, suitable for 15 – 25 people who preferably should be company nurses, HR training personnel, safety officers, and wellness managers.)
A pair of black and pink cabinets titled "Passion - For Pleasure or for Pain" will be housed in the premises of the company for 1 week. The display includes: models and information on consequences of unsafe sex tips to jazz up one's sex life tips to promote mutually faithful and fulfilling relationships.
RESPECT is fully subsidised by HPB. |
