Food Info Search is an interactive programme developed by the Health Promotion Board. Food Info Search provides the average energy and nutrient values of more than 6000 foods commonly eaten in Singapore. It also allows you to analyse and modify your own recipes, or monitor your food intake over a period of time. You are encouraged to use the information to make healthier food choices and prepare healthier meals for yourself and your family.

Food Info Search
This option allows you to search for a food item and to find out its energy value and nutrient content. You can obtain information for energy and other nutrients including carbohydrate, starch, sugars, dietary fibre, protein, total fat, saturated fat, polyunsaturated fat, monounsaturated fat, cholesterol, water, calcium, iron, sodium, potassium, phosphorous, zinc, selenium, vitamins A (beta-carotene and retinol), B1(thiamin), B2(riboflavin), and C(ascorbic acid). Recipe analysis

This option allows you to assess the nutritional content of your recipes, based on the ingredients, portion sizes and cooking methods that you have keyed in. The analysis will be able to provide you with the energy content as well as the values for protein, total fat, saturated fat, cholesterol, carbohydrate, dietary fibre and sodium. To make your recipe analysis complete, do include the exact amounts of oil, salt, sauces, dressings and other seasonings used. More about this option...


Food Intake Assessment

This option allows you to analyze your diet for up to seven days. Through this assessment, you will be able to see if you are meeting your nutritional needs for energy and the common nutrients namely protein, total fat, saturated fat, cholesterol, carbohydrate, dietary fibre, calcium and sodium. There are also accompanying nutrition messages that can provide more information on your diet and ways to improve it.
