Seminar on ‘Projecting Your Professional Image’

Do you know your skin’s natural undertone? How does our undertone determine our choice of colours? How can we dress to project the image we desire? What should we avoid when choosing clothes and accessories? All these questions were addressed in a 3-hour seminar organized by HWC on ‘Projecting Your Professional Image’ on 18 Feb 05 at the HPB Auditorium.

Teo Ser Lee

Ms Teo is the founder and director of Protocol Academy Pte Ltd, which provides etiquette and protocol services. She is also a former Ms Singapore/World, and has several years of experience in the hospitality industry, specializing in marketing and corporate communications.

Ms Teo brought the audience through an informative and interesting session on dress codes, types of attire for different body shapes, the association of colours with mood and feelings, colour coordination, dressing to project professionalism and confidence, and many more useful tips.

It was also self-discovery time when eager volunteers went up on stage to do a simple test to find out their skin undertone.

Of course, this was not solely a session for ladies. The guys were not forgotten when the handful of guys present were given ‘special attention’ on their attire.

After the session ended, participants stayed to get more personal tips from Ms Teo. The session proved enjoyable and valuable, and participants left the seminar with a clearer idea of what to wear when they go to work tomorrow.
