In love with love birds

Keeping love birds is my favourite past time and stress reliever after a hard day’s work. Presently I have 12 love birds with different behaviours and colours.

All my birds were bred from hatched eggs and hand-fed till maturity. Whenever I come home after a hard day’s work, they will respond together instantaneously with loud chirpings upon hearing the ‘click’ at the turn of the key at the doorstep.

They also respond when I call their names and they’ll look at me with intense curiosity. Although taking care of them requires tender-loving effort, the joy that they bring to me and my family is more than rewarding.

Mimi – My Kitty…

Mimi is gorgeous, sweet, adorable and loyal to boot! She shares my pillow, and she shadows me everywhere I go. Nope! I do not exaggerate! She even tags along to the toilet! I love her, with all my being.

It’s impossible to ignore her. Not that I want to. Her damp nose nudging me is my wake-up call every morning. She even recognizes my footsteps! Most nights, even before I turn my key in the lock, she’ll be at the other side of the door. Staring up at me with her beatific eyes and expecting a rub on her pretty little head.

Mimi is the outlet to my rants and raves. She has witnessed my erratic mood swings. And she never judges. It makes me feel better just to hug her warm furry little body next to mine.

Life without my best friend? I don’t even want to imagine!
