Footprints
This issue’s Reflections quote from Lao Tzu says “A journey of a thousand miles must begin with a single step”. And what a journey it has been for the Voices Reloaded editorial team over the last one year!
From rebranding of the Voices newsletter to its current look-and-feel, constant revamping of the content, engaging our readers for comments and brainstorming for new ideas – this last year has truly been a smorgasbord of emotions for us. We have experienced intense moments of anxiety about deadlines, frustrations about the layout of the newsletter, hair-raising challenges about the publicity posters to absolute bliss and elation at the positive comments from staff and perhaps even proud satisfaction at how our little “baby” has grown of age. Our team is delighted to announce that Voices Reloaded has achieved close to 3,500 page views for our last issue in November 2005!
In line with our theme on footprints, this issue brings to you our readers the footprints left behind by our globetrotting HPBians and the exotic destinations they have been to over the holidays; the sharings of an arduous journey towards completing a marathon one step at a time by Ms Sharifa Norliza from AHP; the determination of Ms Joanne Chia from M&C to conquer the slopes of Gunung Angsi; the footprints that Voices has left in the hearts of our editorial team; the proud winners of the National Day awards from HPB and plenty of entertaining footprint riddles to tickle your minds.
This issue marks the swan-song of the current Voices committee. We dedicate this to all our readers, our raison d’être. It has truly been a pleasure serving as your voice over the last one year and we ask of you to continue your kind support for the next team. Have a wonderful and fruitful 2006!
Take Care of You
