HPB Voices Reloaded

HPB celebrated Christmas early this year with some of the senior citizens and children under the care of Yong-En Care Centre, our adopted charity on 9 December 2005. They were invited to visit some of HPB’s facilities and were treated to a short performance by our staff.
First up was a tour of HealthZone where they learnt all about living healthily, in a fun way through the interactive displays. After which, they were delighted by the Cantonese opera, Chinese, Malay and Indian dances and Chinese songs performed by our very own HPB staff. Some of our friends from Yong-En Care Centre even sang and clapped along to the familiar tunes!
At the end of the performance, our CEO, Mr Lam Pin Woon presented a cheque of $16,000.00 to Mr Tan Guan Seng, the President of Yong-En Care Centre. This cheque was the fruit of HPB staff’s fundraising efforts through the pledge cards over the preceding months.
After the performance, all our guests had a great time mingling during the delicious and healthy luncheon at the Garden Terrace and basking in the festive season of gifts and joy.
This event was organised by the HPB Corporate Community Involvement Programme (CCIP) committee. The committee wishes to extend its appreciation and special thanks to all the performers, volunteers, CCIP champs and staff who have contributed to make the event a success.
