Chinatown Chinese New Year Light Up
What: Chinatown will be transformed into a fairyland of light and colour with spectacular overarching decorations lining the streets. The bustling street bazaar with its delectable array of goodies like waxed duck, barbecued sweet meats, assorted cookies and other new year accessories makes it the place where the Chinese in Singapore congregate year after year to soak in the festive atmosphere. To cap it off, party with thousands of revellers on eve of Chinese New Year (17 Feb) as the countdown to the New Year gets underway.

Thaipusam 2007
What: Thaipusam is one of the most colourful and ritualistic festival celebrated in Singapore. This annual event is held in honor of the Hindu God Subramaniam (Lord Murugan). It is observed as a day of prayers, thanksgiving for wishes granted, fulfillment of vows and for good health. The ceremony starts in the early morning where devotees carrying milkpots and wooden Kavadis leave Sri Perumal Temple. The elaborately decorated spiked Kavadis set off in the later part of the morning and continue till late night. These devotees will undertake a 3km walk from Sri Perumal Temple to Sri Thandayuthapani Temple. On reaching the Sri Thandayuthapani Temple, the devotees get into a joyful frenzy as they offer the milk they have been carrying to Lord Murugan.

What: "iFuture" is an infocomm tech expo with exciting exhibits and amazing applications. It comprises 5 specialty areas namely, state-of-the-art Infocomm Technology “i-Space”, “The Singapore IT Story”, “Mechanical Cabaret Theatre”, “Virtual World” and “Gizmo Dome”.

I Think I Can!
What: It's Becky Watkins' turn to stand up in class tomorrow and deliver her big career day speech, but she is a bundle of nerves and hasn't got a clue what to say. The problem is, Becky suffers from an acute case of the 'I-don't-knowseys'. Here to help Becky find her confidence is her house cat and imaginary personal advisor, Professor. This Professor holds a PhD in Child Psychology from Cambridge Catnip College and has a delightful knack for coaching 'I-think-I-can-ism' to the shy and the timid. Together with his sing-along assistants Bugsy and Schmuggles, Professor takes Becky on a magical series of exciting occupations and adventures.

Chingay 2007
