Dental Therapists’ Day Celebration 2007
Started in 2006, the School Dental Service (SDS) celebrates Dental Therapists’ Day in February. This event is to acknowledge the contributions of dental staff to the field of dental health. It also served as a gathering for all staff in SDS.
This year’s Dental Therapists’ Day was held on Saturday, 3 Feb 2007. The venue was at Fisherman’s Village Restaurant at East Coast Parkway. About 150 dental staff attended the lunch. The afternoon’s event was kicked off by Dr Eu Oy Chu’s opening speech and followed by a sumptuous 9- course lunch specially prepared for the occasion.
Table games were played during the lunch. Sudoku and fitting of a puzzle were brainteasers which required good teamwork among the table members
There was also the ever popular lucky draw where 50 prizes were given away and the top prizes included an I-Pod Shuffle, shopping vouches and a garnet pendant.
Soon it was time to call the event to an end. Everyone went home with an “ang pow” which was contributed by Dr Rose Vaithinathan.
We would like to thank Mr Wong Yew Meng, Mr Lam Pin Woon, Dr Rose Vaithinathan and all distinguished guests for taking their time-off to join us.
It was great to see that every one enjoyed themselves. Thanks to the committee members for putting together such a wonderful afternoon. We certainly look forward to next year’s DTs’ Day.
