Incredible India

Even after all the stories my tata (grandpa in Tamil) use to tell me (he had some bad experiences); nothing could keep me away from India. I mean, who could possibly not want to see the Taj Mahal right? So end of last year, we packed our bags and headed for what I would describe as a very adventurous and breathtaking holiday.

We city hopped from New Dehli - Agra – Jaipur - Shimla, in 11 days! It is better known as the Golden Triangle. We car-ed most of it, exhausting it was but a whole lotta fun taking in the sights and smells of India.

If I were to sum up my holiday in two words, it would be the best holiday ever! I simply enjoyed learning about her history and taking in all that beauty. I’m just crazy about that place. A definite must go spot for everyone!

Now here’s a few of my favourite things:

goat

Aren’t they cute? We were caught in a traffic jam and they were just cutely passing by us.

sephia

That’s me dad and the taj hanging out.

Taj Mahal

Just look at it! Nuff said.

sunset

Sunset by the river that divides the Taj and the Black Taj (was never completed). It was dry season so we were standing right smack in the middle of the river, best way to see the Taj in its full glory.

elephant ride

This was fun albeit guilty that we were bullying the elephants.

elephant

So gorgeous!

It was freezing cold but we thoroughly enjoyed the cultural night.

food

It ain’t India without the fooooood. Oooo yummy!

train

We squeezed in a train ride to Shimla. It was surprisingly cozy!

shima

Speaking of Shimla, this is her.

milk

Just like that, we were back at New Dehli. Need milk?

henna

And you’ve not seen India until you’ve got yourself henna-ed! Best design ever!

family

With the family outside some important government building. With gates like that, even I want to work there!

If that ain’t enough pictures, come by my cube. I’ll show you more!
