Best Suggestion for the month of July 07

Dr Koh Yang Huang, AH/Communicable Disease Education & Mental Health Dept
Her suggestion is to include HPB’s appointment as the WHO Collaborating Centre for Health Education and Promotion in HPB’s communication materials such as staff’s name cards, letterheads etc. This will help to improve corporate image, better branding for the organisation as well as greater pride among staff.
Mr Augustine Ng, R&SP/NDRO
He suggested renaming the Electrocardiogram (ECG) images filename as this will help to save substantial amount of time in Registry Coordinators’ workflow, increase productivity and improve efficiency.
Ms Chor Swee Suet, YHD/Clinical Standards & Quality Dept
She suggested disseminating the summary for the monthly feedback gathered from the schools and public via email to Deputy Directors (DDs) and some senior personnel for their information. With this information, the DDs could see things from a broader perspective and able to assess how their departments fair in the achievement of the departmental KPIs.
Best Suggestion for the month of August 07
Ms Deborah Koh, AHD/Workplace Outreach
She suggested introducing the “REVEAL”- new age progression software that was launched by the Smoking Control department, to the youths too. This software shows personalised photo illustrations of skin ageing caused by smoking. Since the copyrights for REVEAL has been obtained, it makes good money sense to broaden the scope and use REVEAL for campaigns targeted at youths who smoke. This gives them a glance into the future of their skin, start them thinking and impress their young minds now.
Ms Soh Shueh Ling, YHD/SDS
Her suggestion is to standardise all the signages at the counters in School Dental Centre to “Registration/Appointment” as all counters can serve both functions. This allows patients to queue at any counter without having to wait at a particular appointment counter. Thus, this will shorten the waiting time for patients and enhance the image for School Dental Centre.
Mr Augustine Ng, R&SP/NDRO
He suggested using an imaging software/tool to facilitate and improve the productivity of Electrocardiogram (ECG) waves measurement. This will facilitate and improve the accuracy of measuring the ECG waves and reduce eye strain.
