What I like about my dopod 838 Pro
I got my Dopod 838 Pro last Dec 2006. It was to replace my 2-year old O2 Xda Atom which was giving me problems then. My O2 Xda Atom served me very well... It was useful as it helped me to keep track of my schedules as well as appointments ( both at home and at work !!!), and most importantly, it organised the listings of all my contacts. I was also able to take notes with my O2 Xda Atom during meetings and CME sessions.
So I told myself I had to get something much better if I had to replace my very useful O2 Xda Atom.
In addition to all the useful functions which I was very familiar with the old O2 Xda, there were new features in the Dopod 838 Pro. I am most happy about the slide-out key pad with my new Dopod 838. This means that I don’t need to rely on the stylus ( which was needed when using the O2 Xda Atom and I had misplaced it many times !!) and it is like typing on a keyboard ( of course, in a miniature version). I have also loaded in some of my favourite music pieces and songs in my new dopod too as it functions as like an MP3 player. The sound quality is good too.
What I think my dopod reflects about me
IT – savvy …… The multiple functions of my dopod also reflects my needs well too, ie to be able to multi-task and perform various functions at one go…. like handling a project at work, managing my schedule with my children’s school work ( like making sure I do not forget the very important school exam dates …) as well as handling domestic matters ( like getting the electrician on the phone straight away when I get a call from home that the washing machine is not working …) I believe all working mothers in HPB will find these scenarios familiar….
My best use of my dopod
Best use as a scheduler, a phone and a mini-computer with great music built in !!
Advice/recommendations:
If you hate to use the stylus ( or always misplace it … ) and you like to have a keyboard for your PDA… I would recommend the Dopod 838 Pro. The slim miniature keyboard is really cool and you look really professional as you slide open it and start typing…….
