Winners for September are:-
Ms Vanessa Tan, CM&C/New Media
Vanessa suggested creating online survey using specialised survey creation tools like Surveymonkey.com as long as the surveys do not contain personal or confidential information, and are not linked from a .gov.sg website. With this online survey, it is cheaper and faster than getting a local vendor to programme each survey.
Ms Renuga Johan, CM&C/Resource Development Service Dept
Renuga’s suggestion is to include additional information as to why a particular product is a HCS product. For example, for eggs, it can indicate that "lower in saturated fat" just below the logo. With the additional information, it will help to enhance consumers’ understanding and increase the credibility of our HCS logo.
Ms Rachel Ngo, AH/Smoking Control
Rachel suggested giving incentives such as certificates or awards to GPs as this may help to increase uptake of GPs who are trained in smoking cessation and can provide opportunistic intervention. These certificates/awards can also be placed in their clinics and would help patients be aware that smoking cessation services are provided in that GP clinic.

Ms Pang Yap Joan, Mr William Ho and Vanessa Tan
Winners for October are:-
Mr Joshua Soh & Mr William Ho, R&SP/NDRO
Joshua and William suggested creating a recording system to track the tape, the exact date of backup and the operator who did the backup for the database for National Disease Registries System. With a proper system in place, there is a proper updating of the records as well as reducing miscommunication among the staff.
Ms Pang Yap Joan, YH/SHC
EN Pang suggested the use of room 37 (next to room 38) instead of room 35 in SHC for the Spinal Clinic as a consultation room during peak period. This simple idea makes it easier for the doctors to move from one room to another room, a more orderly arrangement.
Winners for November are:-
Sabariah Kaspon, R&SP/NDRO
Sabariah suggested utilising the record room in NDRO for group discussion sessions, instead of conducting the discussions openly in the common office area. This will help to maintain confidentiality of the discussions and keep noise level down.
Wong Lee Fon Serene, YH/SDS
Serene suggested to create a standardisation process in storing of used chemical integrators for Clinical Supervisors’ verification, by stapling the used chemical integrators on a halved- A4 recycled paper in date sequence. This will improve the current work flow.
Davamani d/o Ramasamy, CS/Admin
Dava suggested including the list of Fire Wardens in the e-portal for
everyone’s reference. Staff will know whom to approach during a fire emergency.
Winner for December is:-

Mrs Tan Seok Lee, CS
Seok Lee suggested maximising space usage by having folding doors between MPH and the Innovation Lounge. The area can be expanded for bigger scale functions, or reduced into a smaller room as a holding area for guest speakers/VIPS or meetings.
