Dear Readers,
As I was reviewing the articles which came in for this issue, what struck me was how deeply passionate and engaged our colleagues are and how diverse their interests and passions!
Very often, we gripe about not being able to find time to pursue our interests or even exercise but a large part of it really depends on how we manage our time, our priorities and how we capitalise on whatever little pockets of time we can find throughout our daily lives. It is in the pursuit of these little things in life which makes each of us feel unique, enriched and happier.
Well, perhaps one of the ways in which we can get started is to open our minds to the concept of ‘health at work’. In this issue’s Getting to Know You, Voices brings to you the faces and voices behind the ‘health at work’ and worklife harmony movement in HPB. Our leaders in the Healthy Workforce Committee (HWC) will tell you more about themselves and how ‘health at work’ can happen and in a really fun way!
And I’m most amazed by the talents which we managed to unravel among our midst... in this issue’s Relak Corner, we bring to you HPB’s own photographers with their very unique perspectives about photography. Not only will you be able to pick up tips from them, you can even have a sneak peek at their private photo or should I say art gallery! We are so privileged!
For those of you who wrote in to Voices’ last issue to tell us how moved and inspired you were by Kelly’s pilgrimage to India, thank you all & Kelly for sharing with us! In this issue, we have yet another two extraordinary stories to tell: Operation Smile and a colleague’s unique field experience at Xishuangbanna, southern Yunnan.
In this issue’s IAG Inspires, find out how accidents can lead to innovations...hmm...Does this mean we should try to create more accidents?!
Last but not least, the Walking Enthusiasts are out again to conquer new heights... this time at the Southern Ridges! Let them tell you all about their experience.
Happy Reading!!! Yin
