1. UV coating
Provides UV (ultraviolet) protection. UV treatment blocks harmful rays from damaging your eyes. Overexposure to ultraviolet light is thought to be a cause of cataracts, retinal damage and other eye problems.

It is also important for sunglasses to have at least 95% UV coating to avoid damaging your eyes.

Tips on caring for spectacles

  1. Wash spectacles daily in warm water. Wash or blow off dust or grit. Never use paper products to wipe as they may scratch the lenses. Dry them with a soft cotton or cleaning cloth.

  2. Do not place your spectacles with its lenses facing down on the table top or other surfaces. This will help keep the lenses scratch-free.

  3. When not using them, store your spectacles in its protective case. Do not put your spectacles in your pocket - they may fall out or get bent out of shape.

  4. Always put on or take off your glasses with both hands. This will preserve their life-span and ensure they stay well-fitting.
