Preschool can adopt these health programmes and resource to empower preschoolers, staff and parents in supporting a culture of healthy living.

At HPB, we encourage preschools to establish a culture that promotes healthy living. Here are some programmes your preschools can adopt to empower preschoolers, staff and parents in supporting this culture.
Programmes offered are in support of Grow Well SG, a national initiative that aims to empowers families, with support from schools and the community to build healthy habits in children which can continue through to adulthood, bringing long-term health benefits.
For Children
Healthy Meals in Preschools Programme (HMPP)
HMPP aims to promote healthier food choices and healthy eating habits from a young age in preschools through a collaborative effort with teachers, cooks, and children.
We support participating schools by providing guidance on healthy food options, offering educational resources, and advising preschools on the use of healthier ingredients.

Healthy Lifestyle Puppet Show
The Healthy Lifestyle Puppet Show uses lively characters and storytelling to introduce preschoolers to key health topics in a fun and interactive way.
Preschools interested in taking up the puppet show may register their interest here (opens in new tab). Please note that this form is for registration of interest only. HPB and/or our appointed vendors will follow up with further details.
School Health Services
The programme aims to conduct growth and developmental screenings for K1 and K2 students to detect health issues early. This includes height, weight, and vision screenings at their preschools. Students who miss their screenings will be referred to the Student Health Centre for the same services.

Preschool Resources for Educators
The Teacher’s Toolkit resources focuses on - Eat Well, Sleep Well, Learn Well, and Exercise Well, supported by Bond Well. These resources are made to seamlessly integrate healthy habits into daily learning.

Health Promotion Training for Educators
This virtual workshop equips preschool educators with practical knowledge of key child health topics under the Grow Well SG (GWSG) initiative for preschools.
Educators will gain useful ideas and resources that can be easily incorporated into existing lesson plans, as well as tips for making health education engaging, relevant and meaningful for young children.
The workshop covers key health topics under GWSG with each topic delivered as a one-hour virtual session.
Participants are required to attend all topics to complete the workshop.

For Parents
Family Bonding Programmes in the Community
The Active Family series offers a variety of fun-filled activities, team sports, and games designed to promote bonding between parents and children (4-6 years old).
Available every weekend at convenient locations across the island, these sessions encourage families to stay active and create lasting memories together.

Parent Hub
Parent Hub (opens in new tab), one of the most widely accessed parenting platforms, is HPB’s one-stop resource for evidence-based guidance on children’s health and well-being.
It provides practical tips on nutrition, mental well-being, screen use and physical activity to help children grow up strong, resilient, and healthy.
