Healthier Dining Innovation Grant

What is the Healthier Dining Innovation Grant (HDIG)?
The HDIG is a funding scheme of up to S$5,000, which helps F&B operators, like yourself, to take the first step towards capability upgrading and to undertake food-innovation related activities. HDIG helps you to reduce the costs incurred in the following areas as you develop more healthier dishes:

Purchase of
Healthier Ingredients
Wholegrains, Healthier Choice Symbol (HCS) sauces & lower-sodium salt
Culinary Training
Recipe Reformulation
Am I eligible for the Healthier Dining Innovation Grant (HDIG)?
Whether you are an existing HDP Partner or are just exploring how you can serve up healthier food and drink options on your own, you can make your application for the HDIG at any time, subject to the eligibility criteria as shown.
Food Partners and/or Beverage Partners

  • Brand Chains (effective from 1 April 2023)
With ≥ 3 ordering platforms,

The HDP team will assess the application based on your needs, the qualifying areas, and competency of the product/service provider in improving your business capabilities. All applications are subject to the HDP team’s approval. Click here for the full list of supportable activities.
How to apply?
HDIG Application Period:
Application cycles are fixed, commencing on the first working day of each calendar month. The complete set of application forms with supporting documents should be submitted to HPB by the 15th of the calendar month.

Stage 1:
Identify The Activities That You Need
Check the list of supportable activities here and identify relevant activities that best suit your business needs.
Stage 2:
Get Quotation
Get a quotation from HPB’s accredited Healthier Ingredient Supplier(s) to purchase wholegrain ingredients (e.g. rice, noodles, bread, flour), healthier choice sauces and lower-sodium salt.

For other products and services, source for the product/service and get a quotation from the vendor. For price reasonableness, please also provide a comparison by getting an alternative quote from at least one other supplier*.
Stage 3:
Submit Application
Download the application form and submit the completed form together with the quotations to HPB_Healthy_Eating@hpb.gov.sg.

All applications are subject to the HDP team’s approval. Successful applicants will be issued a Grant Award Letter from HPB confirming your participation in HPB’s Healthier Dining Innovation Grant.

Grant disbursement process:
Upon receiving the Grant Award Letter from HPB, please submit your claims within 12 months from the date stated on the letter.

Prepare and submit the following documents:
  • Vendor details (Contact details and Bank details) at Vendor@Gov
  • HDI Progress/Final Report & Grant Claim Form that summarises the overall capability developed as a result of the grant and breakdown of claimable incurred costs
  • Original invoices, receipts, photos (where applicable)
  • Softcopy of the Grant Award Letter
  • ACRA
Note: Please ensure the actual expenses stated in your claim summary table (excluding GST) correspond with the amount in the supporting documents, and the invoices are addressed to your company. If the supporting documents include items you are not claiming for, please highlight only those that you are claiming for.

Submit documents
Upon the complete receipt of both the Progress/Final Report and Supporting Documents, HPB will review the documents, and seek clarification where required for grant disbursement processing.

Claim approval and disbursement by HPB
HPB will approve the claim once deemed satisfactory and thereafter notify you on the approval within 3 calendar months from the submission date of the claim.
